Happy Mother’s Day 🌷

Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. Proverbs 31:25-31

As I Look Back

As I look back on my life
I find myself wondering…
Did I remember to thank you
for all that you have done for me?
For all of the times you were by my side
to help me celebrate my successes
and accept my defeats?
Or for teaching me the value of hard work,
good judgement, courage, and honesty?
I wonder if I’ve ever thanked you
for the simple things…
The laughter, smiles, and quiet times we’ve shared?
If I have forgotten to express my gratitude
For any of these things,
I am thanking you now…
and I am hoping that you’ve known all along,
how very much you are loved and appreciated.

God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers. – Rudyard Kipling

A Prayer of Blessing for All Mothers

Dear Lord, Bless every mother and every grandmother with the finest of your spiritual blessings today. Confirm in her heart and spirit the work of her hands and the love that she has so freely given to those children under Your care. Validate her worth daily so she has no reason to doubt whether she is loved, valued, and cherished in the eyes of her Heavenly Father.

  1. I rethought the Rudyard Kipling quote after I went to bed, and I thought, oh no…good quote but not so true. God is everywhere and created Eve to be the mother of all living.
Genesis 3:20 – And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. ❤

  2. Beautiful post Susan. I just caught your message above about not getting a call from your son on mother’s day. I’m sorry. I can’t say I know exactly what that would feel like since I don’t have any children but it never feels too wonderful to feel forgotten. So I’m so sorry. May God Bless you and give you peace and joy. ❤

    1. Thanks for your kind words Tina. ❤ Maybe someday he’ll come around. All I can do is pray for him and trust God will bring him back around someday….like the prodigal son. ❤
