Jesus is Our Passover

He shed His blood upon the cross

So we could live and not be lost.

Paid for our sins a mighty price,

This spotless Lamb of sacrifice.

So we worship Him this day,

Lift up our hands to God and say,

We thank you Father for what You’ve done;

For now we know Your precious Son.

And on this very special day

In Jesus precious name we pray.

AMEN

John 1:29  The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God,  which taketh away the sin of the world.

Ephesians 1:7  In whom we have redemption through His blood,  the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace;

2 Kings 23:21 And the king commanded all the people, saying, Keep the passover unto the LORD your God, as [it is] written in the book of this covenant.

1 Corinthians 5:7  Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened, For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:

HE IS RISEN INDEED

  2. Thank you so much for writing the true meaning of this day! Not about bunnies and candy, but the risen Lord of “THE PASSOVER”. God Bless and keep you Always as you walk with Him.

    1. God bless you and thank you for your comment, Julia.
      One Easter Sunday my husband and I had visited a church for the sunrise service, and the pastor started his message about the bunnies. Needless to say, we left and never went back.

      Yes, only, Jesus is “THE PASSOVER” message to be celebrated on this unique and special day. He is the Resurrection and the Life for all those who will receive Him as their Saviour. The only Begotten Son, whom our Heavenly Father offered up as the ultimate SACRIFICE as the propitiation for our sins.

      1 John 2:2 “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world”
